Komani cops in Queenstown, Eastern Cape have arrested two suspects in connection to bank card scamming.

On Wednesday, 15 March cops acted on a tip-off about a car allegedly used in scamming victims of their bank cards.

“The vehicle was spotted and upon searching it, approximately 15 different bank cards and an undisclosed amount of money was recovered,” cops spokeswoman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said.

Mdleleni said investigations revealed that some bank cards were stolen in February.

“Two suspects aged 28 and 34 suspected to be from East London, were arrested and detained on charges of possession of suspected stolen bank cards and fraud,” Mdleleni said.

They are expected to appear in the Komani Magistrates Court on Friday, 17 March.
