12 MARCH 2024 marks three years since King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu died.

And to remember and respect him, King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini has asked people to spare a moment of silence on Tuesday, 12 March.

The Prime Minister, Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, said in a statement that King Misuzulu has called on all members and friends of the Zulu Nation to observe a minute of silence at noon tomorrow on Tuesday.

"King Zwelithini was a symbol of unity and peace in KZN and will always be cherished in the hearts of millions in South Africa and throughout the world," Buthelezi said.

He said observing a minute of silence at work, school, or home would be a fitting tribute to the memory of the late King, who was much loved and admired throughout the country.

"His Majesty King Misuzulu will lead the Royal family and amabutho at the 110 Anniversary commemoration of King Dinuzulu ka Cetshwayo that will take place at KwaCeza, Zululand, on 16 March."

Buthelezi said the unveiling of the statue of King Zwelithini scheduled for this week has been postponed allowing the King Dinuzulu commemoration to proceed with other royal events.
