The Nkangala District municipal manager and her driver have been found alive.

Maggie Skhosana and Gugu Mtsweni were found dumped in the bushes near the N14 in Diepsloot, Gauteng on Thursday morning, 27 October.

The two women were abducted last week Thursday, 20 October outside the municipality's premises in Mpumalanga.

Reports indicate that the victims were stopped by suspects wearing a police uniform, in a white sedan.  Both vehicles, that of the victims and the suspects were seen driving in the same direction following each other.

The victim's car was recovered on the same day abandoned in one of the surrounding mines in Middelburg. Her wheelchair as well a bag were found in the car.

According to Mpumalanga police spokesman, Colonel Donald Mdluli, the driver was tied with some ropes but she somehow managed to manoeuvre to the road whereby a taxi driver saw her as she was looking for help.

"She then related the story to the taxi driver who then immediately informed the police. The police then went with them to the bushes where the municipal manager was found.
