WAITER Mosibi is drowning in a sea of debt that gets deeper every month.
“I need help. I owe eight mashonisas,” the 30-year-old from Orange Farm, south of Joburg, told Daily Sun.
“I can’t keep up with payments and I owe a total of R9 400.”
He said he took money from mashonisas to support his three kids from different mothers.
“I’m in hiding. I’m running from mashonisas who want their money. I need help from people who will pay the money I owe,” he said
“I want to rebuild my life and be able to work for my kids. I tried asking the mashonisas to make an arrangement with me since I have a new job, but they don’t want to talk to me.”
Waiter, who works as a security guard, said he tested positive for Covid-19 last year and was forced to stay at home.
Two of his baby mamas took him to court for papgeld.
He said the amount he owed went up every month and the mashonisas were threatening to kill him.
His mother Meisi (57) said she’s very worried for her son.
