FIVE people have been killed in Gugulethu on Saturday, 30 September.
The mass shooting happened less than a month after five people were shot on 25 September in the KTC area under Gugulethu.
Police spokesman Colonel Andre Traut said Serious Violent Crimes (SVC) detectives are following leads after the incident happened in NY5.
According to Traut, the victims are four men and one woman.
He said the suspected killers were dropped a few meters away from the cars which the victims were sitting in at the side of the road.

“Police reports indicate that two vehicles were parked on the side of the road in NY 5 in Gugulethu at approximately 11 pm when a number of suspects were dropped a few meters from the two vehicles by another vehicle.
"The suspects approached the two vehicles and started firing numerous shots at the two parked vehicles. After the shooting, the suspects fled in the vehicle that had earlier dropped them,” said Traut.
Residents from Gugulethu said they are terrified about the continued killings in their kasi.
“This is getting out of hand. Our streets just smell of blood. What are these killings all about? Are these killings going to end?” said a community leader from NY5 who didn’t want to be named.
Traut said the identities of the victims are yet to be released.
“SVC detectives are working around the clock in pursuit of a number of leads, and no arrests have been effected yet,” he added.
