A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl from Protea Glen Phase 1, Soweto is fighting for her life in hospital.
This after she was allegedly poisoned, choked, and stuffed into a suitcase.
According to a family member, the little girl was playing with her friends on Saturday, 13 January when she mysteriously disappeared.
“The kids were playing in the yard. Later on, her mother couldn’t hear her daughter's voice outside anymore. She then went to check on her but she wasn't there.
"When the other children were asked where she'd gone to, they all said they didn't know. The mum then searched for the child in the yard but couldn’t find her,” she said.

While the mum was still busy searching for her daughter, another tenant in the premises came out of her room carrying a suitcase. She proceeded to go catch an e-hailing taxi which she had requested.
It's alleged that the driver complained about the heavy suitcase which the woman had loaded into his boot. Before the car could take off, the mother stopped it. She allegedly asked the tenant if she'd seen her daughter, of which she responded no.
“The mother then said no one would leave the yard until her daughter was found. She asked the driver about the suitcase the woman was carrying,” said the relative.
Listening to her instincts, the mum then went to the boot and pulled out the heavy suitcase. When she opened it, she found her daughter stuffed inside. She looked helpless with bruises on her neck and a sock inserted in her mouth.
The relative said the child was unconscious and unresponsive. She was then rushed to the hospital. Daily Sun was told the little girl is currently fighting for her life.
The family is desperately looking for assistance in locating the Swaziland national whom they suspect did this to their daughter.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that a case of kidnapping has been opened at Protea Glen police station. He said that the police still need to obtain statements from witnesses as part of the investigation and, they're currently looking for the suspect.
