TEBOHO Joala, the 50-year-old Rand Water boss who was tragically killed was laid to rest on Sunday, 4 February, at Pretoria East Cemetery.
Mourners gathered at the Heartfelt Arena, Tshwane to pay their last respect to the leader.
Speakers described Joala as a person who loved his church and loved Zion hymns.
His family revealed to the public that Joala had five bullets in his head, and this shows that the shooter's intention was to kill.
“The killer made sure that he shoots to kill. That was his clear intention. He was shot twice on the ribs and five times in his head,” they said.
“He who kills with a gun will die by a gun,” these are the words directed to Joala’s killers by the family.

Representing cousins, Oupa Vusi Mabona said that the giant had fallen.
“God has given us and from what He gave us we learnt beautiful things,” he said.
Chairman of the board of Rand Water Ramateu Monyokolo said that people should stop pointing fingers and allow the police to do their job.
“Joala was one of us, we want to see his killers locked in prison,” he said.
Minister of Water and Sanitation Senzo Mchunu addressed the mourners, emphasising that they had come together due to this tragic incident.
“We are also here to bid farewell to Teboho, known as TJ. Teboho was a husband, a father, son brother, friend and a comrade and an executive manager of Rand Water. He was a friend, very approachable and knowledgeable. He was an exceptional communicator, and he loved people. He had different skills because he was always willing to learn. He was a very committed public servant who will go beyond the call of his duty.
“The question is: how do these people that are murderers simply walk in a hall full of people and just kill a person just like that? It can’t seem normal,” Mchunu said.
He revealed that they had requested Minister Bheki Cele to prioritise this case in police investigations.
