THIS weekend will be the last opportunity for first-time voters and those who need to check their voters’ status to do so.
This is as the electoral commission will hold its last leg of voter registration before the 2024 general elections.
Young people who constitute most of the population in Mzansi are called to come out in numbers and register.
Daily Sun spoke to some of the young people about their eagerness to participate in the next coming elections.
They all expressed their excitement to vote and also said they had registered.
They told Daily Sun that for them to vote would mean that they would get a chance to choose their government.
Austine Shikwabane (29) said he has registered to vote for the first time, and he'll vote for the ANC.

He also encouraged young people to register to vote so they can also have the voice to raise their issues.
Another young person from Soweto, Buyani Ndawo, said he will also be voting for the first time, and he plans to vote for the EFF.
He said he wants to give the EFF a chance and see what they have in store for Mzansi.
“EFF has promised us a lot of things such as employment and free education,” he said.
Athi Nhlapho said he will also vote for EFF, for the redistribution of wealth via the constitution and freedom charter.
He also encouraged young people to go out and register to vote.
“If they don’t vote they won’t have a say in anything, unlike us who have voted, we can stand for something,” he said.
