FORUM 4 Service Delivery (F4SD) leader Mbahare Kekana went to seek divine intervention as the country is gearing up for the 2024 general elections.
Kekana spoke at the Assembles of the Almighty church in Mabopane on Saturday, 8 April.
He said they needed prayers to see them through as they will campaign for the next 13 months.
"This is the first time we were invited by a church during Easter, and we are grateful as we will be forming a partnership with the church going forward. In politics, there are a lot of enemies, and we need prayers to move all those against us out of the way," said Kekana.
He said political leaders must turn to churches.
“Politics started in church, and we are here because we need guidance from the church. Our country is facing challenges, and only the church can save us,” Kekana added.

Kekana said things are falling apart under the ANC-led government because of corruption.
"It is not easy to lead. We pray that we lead with wisdom when we get elected to parliament. We need the wisdom to deliver basic services to our people even beyond 2024," he said.
Archbishop Elmond Zondo of Assembles of the Almighty church said political leaders should ensure that churches get land.
"We are struggling as churches as many of us do not have places of worship. We need land so that we can have proper buildings of our own. It's not easy to always have to hire places whenever we want to gather, especially during Easter," said Zondo.
