A "DRUNK" motorist left cops shocked after they stopped him for driving recklessly on Saturday, 10 February.
Cops were shocked to find out the driver couldn't even stand up, and they were greeted by the smell of alcohol during questioning.
According to Metro Police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, cops arrested the 33-year-old suspect for driving under the influence of intoxicating substances in the Putfontein area in Ekurhuleni.

"The officers were conducting their duties on 10 February when they came across a white Hyundai sedan that was driving recklessly.
"The officers attempted to stop the vehicle and managed to stop it at the corner of Durandt Road and Small Street. When the driver came out of the vehicle, he couldn't stand up properly, and had a strong odour of alcohol. He was immediately ordered to perform a breathalyser examination," said Thepa.
She said the reading confirmed that the driver was over the legal limit. He was immediately taken to the nearest healthcare centre for his blood samples to be taken.
Thepa said the suspect was then taken to the Crystal Park Police Station and detained for driving under the influence of intoxicating substances.
