A LOCAL businessman is providing safety for the community.

Director of Rebohle Security and Project (RSP), Noah Moleya, has been providing free security training and services to schools in Thembisa, Ekurhuleni, since 2023.

He works with the SAPS to facilitate drug awareness and GBV campaigns, donates food parcels to the needy, and offers transport at funeral services to families who can't afford it.

RSP Securities also provides daily security services at Oakmoor Train Station between 8pm and 10pm due to thugs attacking commuters at the station.

"Even at funerals and churches, people get robbed. When I noticed students attending night vigils getting attacked, I wanted to step in. I make sure security guards are there the whole night," Noah said.

"Security is about prevention, not reaction when something happens. So, we must be proactive and protect pupils and educators from harm in and outside the school. Security is a calling for me. We want kids to reach their full potential and be better leaders of tomorrow."

He said some pupils go to school intoxicated at times.

"We don't allow such. We drive them back home safely. If, during the search, we find something illegal, we refer the matter to the police, and they take it from there," he said.

His services are appreciated at Thembisa High School.

"We felt protected and at ease with the presence of the security guards during night vigils. The success of the night vigils is visible," teacher, Portia Dlangamandla said.

Although RSP has not provided night vigil services this year yet, Noah said his company willl step in whenever a need arises.
