THE DA said it can’t wait to air all of ANC’s dirty laundry once it has processed the cadre deployment records.
The governing party handed over the records on Monday afternoon, 19 February, to its opposition complying with the court order.
Leon Schreiber, the DA's shadow minister for public service and administration, applauded their persistent legal efforts of over three years, leading to the ANC's release of cadre deployment records.
These are records dating back to 1 January 2013, when President Cyril Ramaphosa became chairman of the deployment committee which according to the DA helped to facilitate state capture.
Schreiber said they will now study the records to ascertain whether the ANC has complied with the court order in full, which directed it to hand over complete meeting minutes, email correspondence, Whatsapp conversations, CVs and all other relevant documentation dating back to January 2013.
“As soon as we have processed the voluminous documentation, the DA will fulfil our longstanding undertaking to make public the ANC’s dirty cadre secrets for every South African to see,” Schreiber said.
He said their victory is yet another important landmark on the DA’s journey towards abolishing cadre deployment corruption from the face of South Africa.
“ANC cadre deployment laid the foundation for state capture, for systemic corruption, and for the service delivery collapse that caused load shedding, water-shedding, and the accelerating failure of the state,” he said.
