THE ANC said it will comply with the order of the court by end of business on Monday, 19 February.
This follows the ruling of the Constitutional Court on 12 February, which upheld the high court ruling that the ANC needs to hand over its cadre deployment records to the DA within five days.
The ANC said it has noted the speculation driven by DA on its cadre development policy and deployment strategy and wishes to correct this disinformation campaign with facts.
ANC spokeswoman Mahlengi Bhengi-Motsiri said a number of these records for the period 2018 - 2021 were handed over to the Zondo Commission on State Capture as far back as 2021, and were the subject of thorough scrutiny by the commission, including in testimony by the president and other national officials of the ANC.

She said the ANC has nothing to hide and have indicated openly to the commission as far back as 24 June 2021, that they have conducted a thorough search for minutes of the national deployment committee for the period December 2012 to December 2017.
“No minutes of the meetings of the national deployment committee for the relevant period could be found. Dr Leon Schreiber and the DA are fully aware of these facts but have chosen to engage in deliberate misrepresentation, threats and false expectations of what might be contained in the records,” she said.
Bhengu-Motsiri said they reject the DA’s threats to lay charges of contempt of court against their leadership.
“The ANC points, once again, that deployment by members of political parties is not unique to the ANC or South Africa, as the DA is well, and directly, aware. The ANC’s cadre development policy and deployment strategy are designed to advance the constitutional goal of transformation.
“While it acknowledges that some past deployments have been problematic, the ANC affirms that over the years it has deployed individuals with impressive qualifications and credentials and is proud of its cadres who have achieved great outcomes for South Africa,” she said.
