THE DA's Gauteng premier candidate, Solly Msimanga said the province doesn't have a master plan when it comes to its infrastructure development.
He said people are sitting in problems like sewage, which is running all over. He said there is a water crisis, an electricity problem and roads are falling apart.
"We can't address the economy if we don't get our infrastructure right," he said.
He further said one couldn't deal with any of the government’s effective programmes if one still dealt with ineffective people in office.
"We will not be shy in removing people who need to be removed. We will bring back the confidence of businesspeople in Gauteng," he said.
He said there were abandoned industrial areas in Gauteng that needed to be revived.

"We haven't shown the private business sector that we are serious in making sure there are businesses that operate without being hindered," he said.
Msimanga said there were businesspeople who were interested in investing in Gauteng, but there were a number of things they saw happening such as political interference.
"They don't want to come and invest billions of rands if they don't know whether they are going right or left," said Msimanga.
He said to lure investors, the province must upgrade, improve and maintain infrastructure as well as supply interrupted water and electricity.
He said some national and international companies were moving out of the province and going to the Western Cape and elsewhere.
"I won't lie to people of Gauteng and promise them that we will be building houses for everyone, that will never happen. The housing backlog in Gauteng is over one million. Gauteng can only build 35 000 houses in the province per year," he said.
The Gauteng DA leader urged residents to take care of infrastructure. He also said they would look into formalising informal settlements so they may give people stands, water, flushing toilets, electricity, prepaid meters and title deeds.
