Cops hunt shooters

ON TUESDAY, 23 August, Eldorado Park police received a complaint of a shooting incident at the local flats.

The incident took place at about 6.30pm in Heathfield Crescent in Extension 4 Eldorado Park.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police found that six victims between the ages of 19 and 21 were caught in a crossfire and shot. The victims were taken to hospital for medical attention.

Upon investigation, a total of 17 cartridges were found at the crime scene.

The police said that further investigations into the brutal incident and the whereabouts of the suspects are underway.

“The circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown at this stage and no one has been arrested. The police are investigating a case of attempted murder,” said police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Sello.
