THE ANC said it won’t abandon its cadre deployment policy.
This is despite the numerous court cases opened against the ruling party by the Democratic Alliances (DA).
The ANC has until the end of Monday, 26 February to handover all the outstanding documents related to cadre deployment as directed by the Constitutional Court.
Last week, the DA threatened to launch a contempt of court application to force the ANC to hand over more documents from its cadre deployment committee meetings.
DA claimed the ANC left out other crucial records which implicate President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The party gave the ANC until Saturday, 24 February to handover the excluded records or they will on Monday, 26 February go ahead with making the court application.

DA leader John Steenhuisen threatened to open a criminal case against ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula, accusing him of trying to cover for Ramaphosa.
“Finally, the criminal charges the DA will lay against the ANC stem from the admission, made under oath, by ANC official Thapelo Masilela that he destroyed a number of the records that were the subject of the PAIA request after the court order had been granted, while the ANC’s applications for leave to appeal were still pending,” said Steenhuisen.
Addressing members of the ANC on Saturday, 24 February at Moses Mabhida Stadium in KZN, Ramaphosa called on the DA to release its own cadre deployment records.
He said his party will not abandon the deployment policy and they are going to make sure moving forward that they deploy comrades who are capable.
“We will make sure that our cadre development policy ensures that the policies and the vision of the ANC are followed as mandated by the Constitution of the ANC as well as the Constitution of the republic,” Ramaphosa said.
