THE African National Congress (ANC) will get to keep their headquarters, Luthuli House.
This after it announced it has resolved its debt of over R140 million with Ezulwini Investments.
The company had threatened to liquidate the governing party to get their owed money.
In a statement the ANC said: “The African National Congress confirms that it has settled out of court with Ezulweni Investments. The matter has been resolved in the best interest of both parties.”
The out of settlement agreement comes after the party was dragged to courts for liquidations to recover money owed to it for work done during the 2019 elections.

Initially, ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula had claimed they knew nothing about the debt and threw the blame on “two junior” staff members.
But Mbalula’s claims and how he handled the matter were criticised by the ANC Veterans and President Cyril Ramaphosa was called to intervene.
Ezulweni revealed they have been in discussions with the party leaders.
News24 reported a group of party elders had reached out to the company with an urgent desire and intention to intervene and resolve the impasse.
They reported that the leaders begged the events company to pause the liquidation proceedings, allegedly saying Mbalula had mishandled in the matter.
