A LEARNER has lost his life while four others are fighting for their lives at different hospitals after their scholar transport collided with a bus on Monday, September 18.
A taxi carrying five pupils collided with a bus on Rose Roy Road near De Deur Police Station in the Vaal.
Two pupils were airlifted with life-threatening injuries, and two others were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

It's believed that the taxi driver tried to turn onto the shortest route, but the bus was already close and hit the taxi on the left side.
According to a witness, the bus driver tried his best to avoid the taxi but it was too late as the impact had already happened.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi told Daily Sun that a case of culpable homicide has been opened for further investigation after a bus and a taxi carrying schoolchildren collided in De Deur on Monday morning, 18 September.
"An 18-year-old pupil was declared dead while four passengers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital," Nevhuhulwi said.
