A DEVASTATED family wants their brother's murderers to be kept in jail.
This after the murder of their brother Sello Morobe whose body was found headless in a donga at Masimong Village in QwaQwa, Free State.
The accused Thandaza Radebe (28) and Thabiso Mosola (18), who are facing charges of murder and kidnapping, appeared in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrates Court on Monday, 27 November.
The family welcomed the court's decision to keep the accused in custody.
Both Radebe and Mosola voluntarily took the police to the river where the missing head of the deceased Sello was found floating in the Namahadi River, not far from where the body was found.
The family had to wait for a month before they could bury the deceased.
The court was full of concerned community members patiently awaiting the outcome. They threatened to take the law into their own hands should the accused be released.
The deceased's sister, Matshediso Morobe, told Daily Sun that the family welcomed the court's decision to keep the accused in custody.
Matshediso said the accused must be forced to reveal the names of the other perpetrators.
"We demand justice for our son. He was murdered in cold blood. He was supposed to raise and care for his three-year-old daughter.
Daily Sun ran Sello's story on 29 June headlined: Family: 'We can't bury Sello without his head!
Sello's body was found burnt beyond recognition and his head was missing but was eventually recovered from the river. There was a trail of blood from the tavern towards the Donga River where the headless body was found.
