CLUB OWNERS have lost patience with Zodwa Wabantu and they’ve even started a #ZodwaMustPay movement.

But the reality TV star and dancer, who’s never scared of a fight, has told them to do whatever they like with their movement.

“I DON’T CARE!” SHE DEFIANTLY TOLD THE CLUB BOSSES.

It seems the dancer isn’t taking her brand seriously. This follows claims made by event organisers who find themselves demanding refunds from her.

Event organiser Tee M Bee (29) told Daily Sun he booked Zodwa Libram for the Bethal Summer Festival in Mpumalanga on 29 November last year. She was supposed to perform with artists such as Kaygee Daking, Bizizi, Shushu and Dapid.

But she didn’t show up after she was apparently paid R25 000. She hasn’t refunded the event organisers to this day.

Tee M Bee said he has been hosting events for more than 10 years and Zodwa broke the trust he had with his guests.

“I would like to tell Zodwa Wabantu that I want my money back.

“She has been ignoring my messages and calls and I am tired now. If she can’t refund all the money, she must make arrangements to pay me,” he said.

Tee M Bee said he was planning to open a case and do media interviews until she refunds him.

Event organiser Loveness Maluka from Thatha Entertainment said they started organising with Zodwa for the All White Affairs camp chair picnic at Maunde City on 22 August.

“She mentioned a R35 000 fee and we negotiated her down to R20 000, to which she agreed,” Loveness said.

She said she struggled to get a promotional video that Zodwa promised. She said her marketing team ended up improvising by using content from her social media to promote the event.

“A week before the event she said she needed the full amount. I paid her the balance, and she even acknowledged receiving it,” said Loveness.

But on the day of the event at about 11pm, Zodwa sent a request for the location. When Loveness asked how far Zodwa was she ignored her calls.

Frans Machele who owns the Funky Inn Resort in Soshanguve said he first booked Zodwa in August 2021.

“She came, we talked and planned working together, and I booked her again for an event that took place in Northam. I paid her a deposit of R10 000 with the balance to be paid upon her arrival but she didn’t come. She kept saying she’s on the way until closing time.”

Frans said he requested refunds but that never happened.

“I planned another event and she agreed to perform instead of paying me the money she owed me,” said Frans.

“She asked if I could give her R5 000 and she will owe me R5 000 for upcoming events and I gave her.”

Frans said on the days leading to the event, she started ignoring his calls and text messages. He contacted her using another number and she said she’ll arrive at midnight. It was already dawn when he knew she wasn’t coming.

“The patrons accused us of using Zodwa’s name to catch them,” he said.

Zodwa told Daily Sun that sometimes she is not in control.

“I am not alone anymore. I am working with my elders. The ancestors tell me where to go,” she said.

“They can go ahead with their movement, I will always get bookings from my ancestors,” she said.

Zodwa said the organisers can give her new dates if they still want to see her at their venues. She said she has received calls from some organisers who gave her new dates.
