SINGER and guitarist Zahara's life will be celebrated on Thursday, 14 December, at Rhema Bible Church in Joburg.

The musician, whose real name was Bulelwa Mkutukana died on Monday, 11 December, after being in hospital for about a month.

The memorial service will start from 11am until late.

The Lengoma hitmaker's family described her as someone who had a pure heart. They said she was a blessing to both her family and other people across the world.

The Mkutukana family said the singer had a legendary figure in the world of music.

"Zahara remarkably touched millions of people's lives with her extraordinary gift and passion for music and leaves behind an indelible mark on the music industry and a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts and souls," said the family.

"A life so beautifully lived and deserves to be beautifully remembered. May we remember Zahara not with sorrow, but with the healing, joy, kindness, and inspiration she brought to us through her life and her music," they said.


Details about the late singer's funeral arrangements have not been disclosed at this time.
