COMMERCIAL radio station Y has announced its 2024/25 line-up, effective from 2 April.
The Joburg-based radio station Y, which started broadcasting in 1995 from Bertrams, has made slight changes to its line-up.
The youth radio station has announced new faces that will join the station after the Easter weekend.
TV presenter, model and now radio broadcaster Shamiso Mosaka will join the Y family's weekend line-up.
She'll host The Rizz on Saturday afternoons and events tastemaker, Cesare “Hype” Morey will host Hype Factory on Friday evenings.
Y’s content manager Phindi Ziqubu explained what the listeners can look forward to in the new line-up.
“Listeners can expect the line-up to deliver entertaining, thought-provoking, engaging, experiential and actionable content that continues to match listeners’ needs and elevate their energy to a higher frequency.”

Ayanda "Ayanda MVP" Mdluli will remain the host for the afternoon drive on weekdays. Her co-host, Tulz Madala is moving to host his own shows called Kickstart Café from 6am to 10am on Saturdays and Sunday Feels from 6am to 10am on Sundays.
The breakfast show, The Way Up remains unchanged with Nia Brown, Mthaux and Okay Wasabi as the hosts.
The lunch league hosted by Lula Odiba and Caddy will remain the midday slot.
The station bid farewell this year to the radio presenter Samke (OG Samke) Mhlongo, who has been with the station for a number of years.
Y’s managing director Haseena Cassim reflected on the journey thus far.
“Staying true to Y’s daring nature, we transformed the line-up last year and it sure paid off. The 2024/2025 line-up is an amplification of the station’s winning formula and this year we are adding the perfect new voices to our platforms.”
