MOTSWEDING FM is doing things differently this year.
It has announced that it is aligning with the United Nations's (UN) Goal 5, which is about achieving gender equality for girls and women.
The station said it will be introducing a new generation of female Tswana presenter, including the likes of Lebo Ndiya Molefe and Boitumelo “Mizer” Mafole.
They will be hosting Megagamola on Fridays from 8pm to midnight and Bosigo Gare on Saturdays and Sundays from midnight to 3am, respectively.
Lebo was previously on Mahikeng FM and Mizer is returning to the station. She joined the station in 2016 and left in 2018. She is also a DJ, sound engineer and socialite.

Modisane Modise will be leaving the station. He hosts Kgolagano Sundays between 9am and 12pm. Now, the show will be taken over by Dan Makhosi.
Commenting about Modisane's departure, the station wrote: “The station wishes to express its appreciation to Rre Modisane Modise, who has been in radio broadcasting spanning over four decades. Rre Modisane plans to be a religious contributor for various religious segments.”
Motswedi wa Jazz with Bra Sly is moving an hour early. It will now start at 6pm and ends at 8pm. While Tsosoloso with Brown Mosiapoa will move from the 8pm to 9pm.
According to Mamontha Motaung, Motsweding FM’s business manager, the aim is to change the broadcast landscape.
“The minimal changes effected signal consistency and growth in terms of revenue and audiences. The introduction of two female broadcasters heralds an era of a generation of additional females in the Setswana broadcasting landscape,” she said.
