THERE are new faces on Scandal!.
Xolani Ncobeni and Khombi Phetla, who featured on The River as Njabulo's mum Thuthukile, were recently introduced to shake things up on the e.tv show.
Actor Xolani said his character will teach viewers how to spot and deal with their dodgy uncles and aunts.
The 46-year-old from Clermont, west of Durban, who played Officer Mdunge on Uzalo in 2015, will take on the role of Dan - an uncle who's a crook.
Xolani told Daily Sun his character will be an eye-opener to Mzansi because every family has a Dan.
"Either they know him, or they still don’t know him. We all relate to uncle Dan on different levels because all families have him. We want people to be aware of crooks in their families.
"We want to encourage people to have their own things and not wait for other family members to die and claim what belongs to them," he said.

Xolani, who is also a dancer for top Mzansi artists such as Mfiliseni Magubane, Ihhashi Elimhlophe and the late Lebo Mathosa, started his acting journey in 1997 when he toured in New York and Canada with a theatre play by the late playwright, Welcome Msomi.
He joined legendary maskandi musician Mfiliseni as a dancer in 1998, while he joined Ihhashi Elimhlophe as a dancer in 1999 and travelled to many countries such as Portugal and Germany with him.
He then started dancing for the late Lebo Mathosa in 2004 and later became a songwriter.
“While I was a dancer for Lebo, I then asked her to write some songs for her and she agreed. I wrote the song titled Awudede, Ngi Fun'ukugana and many more.
“I also worked with Mshoza and wrote a few songs for her and worked with Thembi Seete before going back to the theatre,” he said.
He said he was introduced to TV by his friend, Uzalo actor Masoja Msiza in 2020 where he acted in many M-Net movies.
“From 2017 I worked with Big Zulu and I was performing with him during his performances until 2019 when I joined the e.tv series, Isipho,” he said.
