POPULAR rapper and TV presenter Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye will appear in court again on Thursday, 25 April.

This was after his case was postponed as he requested a relaxation of his bail conditions.

The Uyajola 9/9 host made a brief appearance in the Joburg Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 23 April.

In July 2023, the Uyajola 9/9 host was released on bail of R10 000 after he turned himself in at Brixton Police Station.

The 43-year-old Ndikhokhele hitmaker is facing several charges, including rape, kidnapping and assault.

He was seen wearing a black T-shirt and pants. He was accompanied by his family members.

During the court proceedings, Jub Jub's defence lawyer Terrence Ntsako Baloyi asked Magistrate Betty Khumalo if they could apply for the relaxation of his bail conditions.

Ntsako said his client didn't have his passport with him and therefore wouldn’t be travelling to other areas outside the country.

His bail condition stated that he must not communicate or attempt to communicate with the victims or complainants.

In March, Khumalo said Jub Jub's matter was still ongoing.

This came after Jub Jub's defence lawyer Terrence Ntsako Baloyi had asked for an extension in March 2024 to revisit his client's documents.

He will come back for the outcome of the bail conditions on Thursday, 13 June.

In 2023 he was arrested on 13 charges, including rape, attempted murder and assault. This was after police concluded an investigation into sexual assault allegations made by actress Amanda du-Pont, Masechaba Khumalo, Bonukuhle Mtsweni and Refilwe Khumalo.
