In 2021, Nompilo asked for donations of up to R2 million to be able to travel to India and get a transplant.
The person who played a big role in getting her donations was rapper Cassper Nyovest, who donated R100 000 which lead to people also donating large amounts of money.
Cassper also challenged Drip founder, Lekau Sehoana to donate and he added R100 000.
Unfortunately, Nompilo faced complications when she got there and couldn't receive new lungs.
