THE new season of The Mommy Club is set to return on Monday, 19 February, and the ladies are promising drama.

The trailer for season two has been revealed, and it showed the ladies still have issues with each other, picking off from the previous season.

Season one of the Showmax show ended with the ladies divided into two groups, and the groups weren’t on talking terms. Mrs Mops and Her Majesty were on the same side, while Ratile Mabitsela, Nunurai Mudarikwa and Tshego “Ms Manche” Manche were on the other.

Cast members Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane and Happy “Her Majesty” Simelane spoke to Daily Sun about what viewers can expect.

Mrs Mops said although she had worked through her disputes with some of the ladies, there were still some issues.

“We've made up, but there are a few issues that still need to be addressed.

“This season, there will be drama, obviously, but there will be more of the ladies coming together and having an authentic sisterhood moment,” she said.

Her Majesty, on the other hand, said she doesn’t trust any of the mommies.

“Season one ended messy. However, going back to season two, I’m expecting the mommies to be cordial with each other in terms of building friendships. But I trust no one and expect nothing from anyone,” she said.

Two new ladies, Nozipho Ntshangase and Jabulile Sande, are set to join the cast.

“I met Nozipho through my daughter Titi. That’s how our relationship formed. Then, I met Jabulile on the show. Forming friendships with them was easy and great. I’m friends with both of them,” Her Majesty said.

Mrs Mops said viewers will witness an interesting dynamic between the newbies and the old cast members.

“Meeting the two new ladies was amazing. They are both beautiful ladies who are well-established mothers and wives. It was so nice to welcome them into the group. But they have their own minds, so we can’t really tell them which side or friendship to join. So that will be interesting to see, which side will they get to pick,” she said.
