The Mommy Club Reunion will premiere on 5 December.

MZANSI asked, and Showmax provided.

Viewers of The Mommy Club on the streaming platform had been asking for a reunion for the reality TV show, and they finally did it.

The reunion will premiere on 5 December and will be hosted by actress and TV presenter Thembisa Mdoda.

The show starring Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane, Tshego “Ms Manche” Manche, Happy “Her Majesty” Simelane, Nunurai Mudarikwa and Ratile Mabitsela set a new record for the most first-week views of any reality series on Showmax.

Thembisa said she had always wanted to host a reunion show.

“As a mum, I jumped at the opportunity to host The Mommy Club reunion. I've always wanted to host a reunion so the fact that it came to me after all these years, with a show I truly love, is a blessing,” she said.

She also promised to leave no stone unturned.

“So much has happened this season. It was explosive, so it's my duty as a seasoned host to get to the root of everything. I'm going to get to the bottom of all the tea. I owe that to the viewers.

“My approach to hosting the reunion is simple. I'm already a fan of the show, so I'm going to tackle all the topics, even the hard-hitting ones, but I am going to do it gently. I, too, am a mum, and I understand some of the struggles mums face. I'm not here to judge the ladies. I'm here to listen and make sure that everything is put on the table,” she said.

Her Majesty said she is going to set the record straight.

“I'm ready to confront everyone, especially a specific individual. I want her to tell me what her problem with me is. If there's going to be a collision, so be it,” she said.

Ratile said there are things that she wants to get off her chest at the reunion.

“At the end of the day, we are all humans,” she said.

Mrs Mops saida; “We make mistakes, and when we do, we need to try and resolve things. For me, I'm willing to move forward with the ladies who want to.

“My approach to this reunion is just to own my part and actions. There will be apologies made because, at the end of the day, we are all strong mothers and businesswomen and, at the crux of it, there is a friendship and a sisterhood.”
