Ms Manche was approached to be part of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg and Young, Famous & African, but she didn’t take both offers.
Instead, she felt The Mommy Club would be a perfect fit for her.
“The creator, Zinzi, told me I cannot run away from TV my whole life. There will always be opportunities, and this speaks to me the most. However, she said she wouldn’t force me, and I should pray about it first. I did that and said to God, if this is what I need to do, then He should direct me towards it,” Ms Manche said.
The creator and executive producer, Zinzi Velelo, said the show was inspired by her life and mums on social media who made motherhood look easy when it isn’t.
“I thought to myself, these women deserve to be on a TV show. Not isolated, but together as a group and show South Africa what glamorous and successful mums look like. So, The Mommy Club was born,” she said.
