CAROL Ofori is on cloud nice after winning an award at the ninth Voice Arts Awards.
She was nominated in the Outstanding Commercial: Radio or Streaming – Best African Voice-over category.
The radio broadcaster, author and voice-over artist’s infectious personality has been her greatest attribute towards success.
Famous Friday spoke to her just after she learnt of her nomination.
“I feel amazing. This international nomination is huge because these are the Grammys or Emmys of the voice-over world. While many Hollywood artists have this award, being nominated in the African category is a big deal.”
Carol shared how a lot still needed to be done to acknowledge the industry beyond these awards.

Carol also shared her business ventures.
“Radio and voice-over are my first-born babies because I started them simultaneously. I’ve been on East Coast Radio in Durban for two years. My books are my last born, and I’ve recently published a children’s book.”
She also hinted at a big future project that she could not speak much of. She also hosts ratingschools.co.za, a website that helps parents place their kids into schools.
