Njabulo Masemola, better known as Bulo, has a career that has been characterised by humble beginnings.
This Mpumalanga born DJ, producer, composer and engineer seems to have the right formula when it comes to success.
On this week’s instalment of Famous Friday, he gave a musical taste of his brand-new EP.
“My EP dropped on 25 November and the launch was on the 17th. It’s an 11-track EP called Toli Boy, which is my grandmother’s nickname. So, this entire EP is dedicated to my grandmother,” we shared sentimentally.
On the EP he worked with big names such as Nana Atta, Nkosazana Daughter and Josiah the Disciple, just to mention a few.
“There’s a couple of singles I’ve released but the leading one currently is uGogo, which is a single dedicated to my mother.”
Bulo exclusively shared with us his plans for the EP.

“We already shot one music video called Umbonaphi which features uMtunzi. Another music video we want to shoot early new year is uGogo. This EP is basically a two-part EP. The second part of the EP will be released in the first quarter of 2023, which will then be followed by an album.”
Bulo also emphasised that the album will offer a premium ama-piano sound with the inclusion of many vocalists such as Sha Sha and Lady Zamar.
Finally, Bulo shared that his gig-guide for the festive season will be centred around South Africa, with hints of a couple of international gigs in the pipeline.
