LEGENDARY soccer player Papi Khomane, who tragically died in a car accident last Saturday, 25 November will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2 December.

Papi will be laid to rest alongside his mum Rita Nomasonto Khomane and his uncle, Moffat Norman Nkosi.

The funeral will take place at the University of Johannesburg Soweto campus, Old Potch Road, Imbizo Auditorium from 9am to 11am.

The three will then be taken to their final resting place at Nasrec Memorial Park.

They died on the way to the funeral in Newcastle, KZN. Papi was not the driver when the incident happened. It's believed that the driver lost control of the car after a puncture.

The driver and another passenger, who is Papi's other uncle, survived. 

Since the tragic news broke, condolences have been pouring in for the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates player.
