POPULAR DJ and producer Mobi Dixon was involved in a car accident.

The City Rains hitmaker from East London, whose real name is Mabi Ntuli, is currently receiving medical attention from his doctor.

The 39-year-old musician's team issued a statement on Wednesday, 7 February, confirming the news.

"Following an unfortunate car accident, Mobi Dixon is currently receiving the best medical treatment. We would like to thank the medical team for their support and professionalism, as well as the family and friends who have been with him during this difficult time," read the statement.

The family has asked the public for space during this difficult time.



"In order to give Mobi space to recover, we ask for privacy and patience from the media and fans during this time. We will keep you updated in due course," the statement reads.

They also said he won't be performing anytime soon.

"All Mobi Dixon shows are currently cancelled, and we will announce new dates in the future. Thank you for your understanding and continued support."
