THE multi-award winning Maskandi star Khuzani "King Khuba" Mpungose has every reason to be grateful and thank God for what he has achieved in 2023.
The 34-year-old musician from Nkandla in the village of Mandaba believes that he was more blessed this year than in previous years.
The Umjolo Lowo hitmaker recently won the award for Best Maskandi Album at the South African Music Awards (Sama) with his album Umqhele neThawula. He also organised a successful big picnic called Gcwalisa All White Spring Picnic in Durban in November.
He has also bought three cars in 2023, a Ford Everest Platinum, a Hyundai H1 minibus and a Toyota Corolla, while completing the construction of his house in Nkandla.
He's celebrating his biggest success with his long-awaited new 14-track album titled Aliboli Icala, as he only releases an album once a year during the festive season.
"What I've achieved this year is a blessing that I will not forget in my life, and this year has been an amazing year for me," he said.

"I can’t talk about my new album without mentioning the success of the previous album Umqhele neThawula. I want to thank all the music lovers who have supported me and my music. I hope they will also support the new album because I'm singing about what is happening in our community," he said.
He said it has been a blessed year for him with many accomplishments and he wants his fans to hear music about what is happening.
