Somizi and Palesa proud of graduate daughter!

MEDIA personalities Somizi Mhlongo and Palesa Madisakwane celebrated the graduation of their daughter Bahumi Mhlongo, who now has a BA degree from Afda.

Both the 27-year-old actress’s parents took to social media to congratulate her.

Somizi posted a video of Bahumi at the graduation and said: “There was a time I thought I’d never live to see this day. So proud of her, the first to ever graduate in our family. Congrats baby girl, now from Monday it’s payback time for my school fees. R2 million plus.”

Palesa also posted pictures of her and praised her, saying she now was the mother of a graduate. In another post, she said she was proud of Bahumi.

“Degree in Bachelor of Arts. I’m a mother of a graduate.”

Fellow celebs congratulated Bahumi and her parents.

Media personality Basetsana Kumalo said: “Hearty congratulations Bazala. Such a special moment indeed. Well done baby girl.”

Actress Simz Ngema commented: “This is special. Congratulations to your whole family”, while actress Winnie Ntshaba said: “Congratulations Bahumi, wow what a beautiful moment.”

Bahumi, who’s followed in her mum’s and dad’s footsteps, starred as the younger Lebo Mathosa in BET Africa’s 2019 six-part biopic Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story.
