Floda Mthimkhulu, speaks about her new song.

FLODA Mthimkhulu, known as Floda Graé, has released a new song titled Sarafina.

The 28-year-old R&B and soul musician from KZN shared with Daily Sun that her new song draws inspiration from Leleti Khumalo's character in the iconic movie Sarafina.

"Sarafina was a fighter, someone who stood firm for her beliefs and desires. I believe we should embody the same spirit in our relationships no matter the challenges," Floda said.

The song holds a special place in her heart.

"Every song I create is a piece of me. It reflects personal experiences and emotions. This one, in particular, is about my own battles and love triumphs," she said.

Floda stressed the importance of loyalty over love, and said: "Love fades, but loyalty remains, driving us to stand by those we've committed to."

Previously, Floda made headlines through her separation from former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu.

Despite her current advocacy for fighting for love, she chose not to discuss her past marriage, focusing instead on her music and the message it conveys.
