SINGER Sjava has warned people about a fake Facebook account called Sjava-atm, which is being used by someone pretending to be him.
Sjava, whose real name is Jabulani Hadebe from Bergville in KZN, said people must not be fooled that the person who is impersonating him has more than a million followers on the page.
The 40-year-old multi-award winning musician said the difference is that his real page is Sjava-ATM with capital letters.
The fake account recently shocked many people when it posted a shocking post appreciating former president Jacob Zuma for saying he will vote for uMkhonto Wesizwe.
The post read: “Siyabonga Msholozi ngathi sekuzovotekake manje” (Thank you Msholozi, it seems like we are going to vote now).

Sjava said he wants people to help by spreading the word about the fake Facebook page.
“Someone is impersonating me. He/she is calling her/himself Sjava and posting everything.
“The page has a million followers and I want to tell people that it's not mine because the page once had a million. It confuses people to think that it's a legit page because they see the many followers,” he said.
Sjava said people must stay away from the fake page.
“I don’t know what the person will continue to do, and I've been complaining about this fake page.
“I've tried many times to stop the page. My attempt failed. Going forward what the page will say, I’m not responsible because it's not me and he/she is the one who does things,” he said.
