THE extradition application for the alleged killers of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello Tibz Motsoane is expected to be heard in the Manzini Magistrates Court in Eswatini on Wednesday, 20 March.
Siyabonga Ndimande and Malusi Ndimande were in Eswatini as South African authorities filed applications for extradition.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service arrested the Ndimande brothers in February, and they face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
They are believed to have played different roles in the murder of the acclaimed rapper and his celebrity chef friend outside the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban a year ago.
The two brothers have been hiding in Eswatini for months.
Their co-accused brother Lindokuhle Ndimande, who is currently in jail in South Africa along with the other accused, revealed in a sworn affidavit that his brothers were forced to seek refuge in Eswatini from the NIU who wanted to assassinate them.
Lindokuhle also said he lost his siblings, who were killed by the NIU unit, saying that his family was also threatened by the NIU when they came to search for him at his home in Mpangeni.

On Tuesday, 19 March, the Justice Minister Ronald Lamula approved a request by South Africa for the extradition of the Ndimande brothers from Eswatini to the Republic of South Africa.
On their previous appearance, the prosecutor in the Manzini Court filed an application to have cellphones that were discovered in the accused’s possession during the arrest held in custody because they might contain vital evidence for the case.
The defence lawyer, Sive Ngwenya, argued that it was imperative to keep the phones intact.
Prosecutor Macebo Nxumalo said it was important to note that the phones carried information that might be of essence to the case as it develops.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 19 March the five suspects, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi (30), Lindelani Ndimande (30), Siyanda Myeza (22), Mziwethemba Gwabeni (36) and Lindokuhle Ndimande (29) who are also linked to the murders of AKA and Tibz’s appeared in the Durban Magistrates Court for bail application.
The matter was remanded to Wednesday, 27 March, for the state to answer the applications.
