THREE months ago, he was homeless and begging people for money so he could get a quick fix of nyaope.
But now he's in rehab fighting his addiction of over a decade.
Mohau Louis, who is popularly known as Alostro, was recently seen at the birthday celebration of popular Tshwane DJ Karabo Success Mokgara, popularly known as DJ Karri, in Limpopo.
Alostro gained popularity when motorists took videos of him talking about current affairs at traffic lights. Many social users found Alostro funny because instead of sharing current affairs, he'd lie and make up some information.
The 33-year-old, originally from Carletonville in Gauteng, decided to change his life and went to rehab in January. This after DJ Karri took him off the streets and gave him a make-over and with the help of podcast host Richy B, Alostro was taken to rehab.

During the birthday celebration, Alostro could be seen in a trending video walking on stage while a crowd cheered.
Alostro, who is now looking better, told Daily Sun he won't use drugs again.
“You only get an opportunity once and I'm not going to let it go to waste,” he said.
While many social users are happy to see Alostro making progress, others are concerned about him going out at night. Some people said they didn’t understand why someone who is trying to fight addiction would be taken to a place where there's a lot of temptation.
His aunt, Priscilla Louis (67) previously told Daily Sun she was happy to see Alostro doing well in rehab. She said he ran away from home eight years ago.
When Daily Sun contacted DJ Karri, his team said he was too busy to talk.
