The awards’ artist and media co-ordinator, Keletso Dlamini, told Daily Sun that the awards have been honouring Mzansi legends for the past 17 years.
“For 17 years, Satma Awards have been honouring South African legends. The awards are not only about traditional music, but also honour and appreciate our heroes who fought and died for our country. In 2020, we honoured former president Nelson Mandela in Mpumalanga. The awards have also honoured the late musicians Lucky Dube and Steve Kekana,” he said.
