THE South African Traditional Music Achievements Awards (Satma) in partnership with the Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation announced the nominees for 2022.
The announcement of nominees and launch of the Satma Awards took place on Saturday, 30 July in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.
The event was attended by prominent guests alongside different artists and musicians, who came out in big numbers to show their love and support.
All those in attendance took the opportunity to wear their traditional clothing with pride.
The red carpet was full of colour and reflected the rainbow nation.
The audience was kept on its feet as the artist gave stunning performances.

Singer Nomfundo Moh, Karabo Mogane and Rockzie gave breathtaking performances, while the different cultural dance groups inspired the audience to continue celebrating their heritage and culture.
The 17th Satma Awards released the list of nominees.
In total, there were 125 nominees and 26 categories.
Some of the nominees are Daniel Brothers, Amanda Mankayi and Royalson, who were nominated for the Best Afro Soul Song.
Nominees for the Best Traditional Social Media Influencer are Brighton Thembalethu, Zamambo Mkhize, Faith Sibiya, Bafana Mthembu, Audrey Skhosana, Tinyiko Khoza, Faith Mgobhozi, Yenkosinabadala Makhoba, Thando Mahlangu, Thato Angel, and Nomalizwi MC Mhlongo.
