REAL Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams is not opening a church.
The 43-year-old reality TV star said she’s read several articles saying she’ll be opening a church, but they are not true.
Nonku, who is called to be a pastor, spoke to Daily Sun and refuted the claims.
“A few weeks ago, I read an article saying I will be opening a church. That’s not true. A lot of publications ran it. I just want to clarify that it’s not true. I’m not opening a church,” she said.
Nonku said people have also been judging her and the way she lives, saying there was no way she could be a pastor.
“My calling was literal, and it was because of the love I have for God. Hence, I studied systematic theology, and I did it at a time of my life when I was going through a tough time. At the time, all I wanted was the face of God and I still do want it even now,” she said.

“People just look at my life and just assume that because of the way I live, I cannot be a pastor or be called. Yet they have no clue about what my life is about, but God doesn’t call the perfect, He calls the imperfect,” said the reality TV star.
She said she didn’t care what people were saying about her.
“The people that God called in the Bible times were never perfect. Just look at David and everyone else. They all had a weakness and that’s what I love about God. His things seem foolish to men. That’s why I’m not bothered by what people say. I know that I love God and I fear him, I do not fear man,” she said.
Nonku also opened up about taking on celibacy.
“I made a decision last year, which was very difficult for me. For a long time, I’ve been struggling, asking God how I’ll do it. Eventually I did it. In September, I am celebrating one year of celibacy,” said Nonku.
“I will be celebrating it because it’s a big milestone for me and I am applauding myself. I think a lot of us don’t clap for ourselves and that’s the problem. With every big thing that you do, you need to celebrate it,” she said.
