SABC Xhosa news producer Lilitha Ntsundwani is riding the wave of success.
Barely seven months after starting as a news producer, his work has already been recognised.
On Saturday, 30 September, Lilitha won an award for Language Preservation at the 5th South African Awards at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein.
Lilitha said the awards are a sign that you can use what you were born with to go from zero to hero and shine.
"I don't take this award for granted. In fact, I'm humbled beyond measure because the organisers of the awards saw it fit to honour me," he said.

Lilitha, who grew up in Tsholomnqa, Twecu in East London, believes that young people should not forget their roots and need to preserve their culture at all times.
"Nowadays, embracing languages is usually associated with the older generation because it's considered something you don't really think is cool as a young person. But I find it a great privilege to be celebrated while being rooted in my identity.
"It's always my strategy to show that being a Xhosa enthusiast is never a way to undermine or ignore the importance of modern systems of progress. I think it's wise to excel in Xhosa in a way that is relevant in our time," Lilitha said.
