REALITY TV star Nunurai Mudarikwa has left The Mommy Club.

Nunurai (30), a fan favourite, is leaving the Showmax show after two seasons.

She made the announcement on the season finale of the show on Monday, 6 May. She spoke to Daily Sun about leaving the show.

“I feel like it’s a bitter-sweet moment because in as much as the show had bad sides, it had a lot of good as well. I’ve met some wonderful ladies on the show.

“What inspired the decision to leave was that at the time of filming, I wasn’t in a good space emotionally and mentally; I felt like I could use a break. This was my first reality TV show; it came with a lot of fame, and I felt like that became overwhelming. I’m very tough, but sometimes it becomes overwhelming,” she said.

She said the fame got too much, and she needed a break.

“The internet fame became overwhelming, and because it’s a reality show, people know you. You’re putting your life out there. It became too much, and I thought maybe I should take a break. Maybe I should rediscover myself.

However, she doesn’t regret giving reality TV a chance.

“I don’t regret going into the show, it was one of the best decisions I had ever made in my life. It helped me in growing my business and putting it out there. And I’m all about my business. It was a very good platform. It taught me a lot of lessons I wouldn’t have learnt if I hadn’t gotten on it.

“I was not really expecting that people would love me because people didn’t really know me. Everyone else on the show was established and already had fans. I didn’t expect the reaction I got from viewers. I just thought I would be myself, and if they liked me or not, I would be fine,” the reality TV star said.

Nunurai promised that she would be back on TV.

“TV is something I would do again. I feel like I just need to take a break and re-strategize. Then I’ll definitely be back. It’s not something that I’ve completely cancelled; I’m just taking a little break,” Nunurai said.
