REALITY TV star Nozipho Ntshangase’s life was a mystery when she joined The Mommy Club.

But within five weeks after the show's premiere, her dirty laundry has been hung for everyone to see.

When the mum of eight made her debut on the Showmax reality show, she mentioned that she was going through some issues with her husband, Zola Ntshangase, and she cried while talking about it.

This led to viewers on social media asking and wondering what had been happening.

In almost every episode since that one, she has been talking about her marriage, but never about what was happening.

Everything was revealed on Saturday, 16 March, when Zola was announced to be marrying a second wife.

The couple, which has eight kids together, trended after people lashed Zola for taking another wife.

There were also claims that Nozipho found out about the wedding on the weekend it happened, and she found out via social media.

Zola eventually confirmed that he was taking a second wife and released a statement asking people to stop bullying his new wife.

“I've noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife. Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to an unfair treatment that is characterised by abuse and stigmatisation. Such acts lead to gender-based violence, which unfortunately is disproportionately directed towards women within the context of South African society.

“I, therefore, request that we observe the above in our endeavour to prosecute Ms Misokuhle in the court of public opinion without having an account of the full facts in what is still a very personal and sensitive matter,” he said.

In the letter, he further accused Nozipho of making him look like a villain through The Mommy Club.

“Lastly, I've always loved and supported my wife in all her endeavours, and I continue to do so. This including on the matter of the very same platform that now seeks to nullify my role in her life and cast me as a villain and chauvinist,” he wrote.

Zola spoke to News24 about the drama.

He was asked about whether it was true that his wife didn't know about his second marriage, and he said: "First of all, that's a very private matter, but all I'm saying is that I wouldn't do anything to hurt my family. That's as far as I can say when it comes to that matter."

The team at Showmax told Daily Sun that Nozipho isn’t doing any interviews currently.

“Nozipho is not doing interviews this week,” they said.
