PEOPLE got to Big Zulu's Homecoming concert clean and left drenched in mud.
The long-awaited event was held in his hometown of Bergville in KZN, and what people didn’t anticipate was that it would rain and there'd be mud.
By the time people went home, they were brown from the dirt.
Videos and photos of people at the event have been making the rounds on social media. Some people posted before and after photos of themselves and they were dirty in the after pictures.
The rapper responded to some posts online and said he wanted to buy his fans two cows on 29 December to pay for what they went through.
Speaking on behalf of Big Zulu, Leroy Khoza, co-founder of Nkabi Records, said this would be a gesture to thank the rapper’s fans.

“We've decided to invite our supports to a feast on 29 December, where we will slaughter two cows and invite people to come to eat for free, to thank them for their unwavering support,” Leroy said.
He said they were happy their fans stayed and had fun regardless of the weather because they couldn’t control it.
“Bergville sports complex is the most premium venue in Bergville where all big events in Bergville take place. It’s a proper sports facility that hosts sporting activities to social activities. This was the second year hosting the Big Zulu Homecoming event, and it’s always been well received. Natural disasters are a part of life, which none of us can prevent. People were very happy and excited to be part of the event, even through the rain people kept coming in and dancing in the rain for their favourite artists.
“They didn’t let the rain stop them from enjoying the night. People made the best of the situation and had fun even under the circumstances they were presented with. We kept the show going, the sound stayed on and the event progressed as normal,” said Leroy.
However, they said they would not apologise to fans because it was out of their hands.
“We have nothing to apologise for, however, we have a lot to be thankful for. People showed us love and support undeniably. Even under rain and mud caused by the rain, they showed their patriotism and love to Big Zulu,” Leroy said.
