ANOTHER DJ has left Metro FM.

This comes a week after popular DJ Lebohang "DJ Naves" Naves left the station and his last day was on Saturday, 27 January.

And this time, it's Nonkululeko "DJ Le Soul" Mdlalose who has left Metro unexpectedly, less than a year after joining the station during the new season in April 2023.

The 32-year-old radio DJ and music DJ from KwaMashu, north of Durban, joined Metro FM in 2023 to host a music show from Friday to Saturday from 10pm to 00.00am called The Urban Beat.

This came after she unexpectedly left Durban-based commercial radio station Gagasi FM, which she had joined in 2014.

DJ Le Soul told Daily Sun that she left Metro FM a month ago because she has a lot of big events booked back-to-back and many of them are overseas.

"I'd like to thank the management and listeners of Metro FM for the opportunity they gave me. I had a great time on Metro FM and my biggest dream of being behind the microphone of the biggest radio station has come true.

"The decision to leave Metro FM was not an easy one for me because I still enjoyed working for them, but because of other opportunities I decided to leave," DJ Le Soul said.

She said Metro FM has been like home to her and she hoped to return in the near future.

DJ Le Soul said she didn't want to miss an opportunity to perform at back-to-back events, especially outside Mzansi.

"I've asked my fans to follow me on my social media platforms so they can see what is happening in my life," she said.

Acting group executive: corporate affairs and marketing Mmoni Seapolelo confirmed that DJ Le Soul has left Metro FM.

"The SABC can confirm that DJ Le Soul has resigned from Metro FM to pursue other opportunities. DJ Le Soul has been a valuable member of the station, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours," she said.
