OPERA singer Nomusa “Sasa” Yende passionate about her theatre performances and live shows.
The 28-year-old singer recently starred in the 10 South African Sopranos at the Playhouse Company in Durban, KZN last month.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Sasa said she has been doing this for years, and this is where her happiness lies.
The musician from Mkhondo in Mpumalanga said she becomes spiritually connected when she sings and is happy to form part of those who have done exceptionally well to put the Yende clan on the global map.
"I am an educator, an opera singer by profession, as well as a public relations practitioner. My forte is opera singing. I have been a singer my whole life," Sasa said.
She said she received intense training at the North West University and with Mr Mhlaba Buthelezi, a singing lecturer at the TUT Arts campus in Pretoria.
The singer said she was lucky to learn under such big names and she is now ready and wants the world to know more about her.

"I was happy to be chosen as one of the 10 South African Soprano. It was great working with other talented musicians,” she said.
Sasa loved everything about what others do and bring to the table.
"I have learnt that discipline, focus and dedication are key in the fraternity,” she said.
She said she believes in being the best version of herself and staying woke.
"Always ignore the noise and focus on what you want to achieve. It's important to stay woke,” she said.
Sasa said she is planning on releasing new music in the future.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to have people from the Yende clan in the Opera fraternity to look up to, and in this case, that is both Pretty Yende and Nonhlanhla Yende. I have worked very closely with Nonhlanhla and at some point she coached me in preparation for schools singing competition. I have not had the privilege of working closely with Pretty as she stays and works in the USA and Europe,” she said.
