AFRO-HOUSE singer Nokuphiwa "Lizwi" Mbatha's music is about restoring hope.
The 33-year-old told Daily Sun that her latest single, titled Prayer, is about healing and unity.
The Joburg-based musician, who is originally from Pinetown in KZN, said God and her ancestors sent her to bring peace to this world.

"I started music back in 2013. Growing up, I listened to the late Busi Mhlongo. I liked her relationship with Baba Madala Kunene, which led me to teach myself how to play a basic acoustic guitar," Lizwi said.

The musician said they have a global trending song titled Waves with Ahmed Spins from Morocco. Lizwi said Waves has taken her brand to a whole new level.
"People can expect a new album from me and a lot of local and international collaborations," Lwizi said.
