MZANSI celebrities and the NJM Foundation gave back to the Ha – Mashau community in Venda, Limpopo, and surrounding areas on Thursday, 28 March.
They donated laptops, school uniforms and a bursary to the 2023 matriculants in the Vhuronga 2 Circuit.
According to the foundation, the food parcels are enough to feed more than 50 families and are a necessity to the community.
Former Miss SA Ndavi Nokeri, Muvhango actor Sydney Ramakuela and TV personality Lethabo "Lejoy" Mathatho were among those who put smiles on the people's faces.

Lejoy said she joined the initiative as a way of giving back to the community.
"Anything that has to do with giving back touches me. I'm passionate about making a difference. It starts with us in the communities we come from. I come from Limpopo, and go home to make sure that children’s education is not interrupted," she said.
Lejoy said poverty affects everyone.
"I know what it’s like to want something and have nothing. When you change a child’s life it makes a big difference. Many of us grew up with little. We're now in a position to help others, why not? I've been poor. I've learned to appreciate little things in life. Change starts with you and I."
Ndavi said it is her responsibility to take care of communities.
"I've seen, first-hand, the impact that one person's support can do. When communities feel seen and practically equipped with the tools, they need to build themselves and their future. It sparks new hope in them to pursue their dreams and strive for greater things. So, I'm honoured to be part of an initiative that will do just that," she said.

"The foundation has been supporting families and schools in Limpopo Province since 2012. We also sent food parcels and blankets during the floods in KZN, which benefited more than 500 families. And just recently, at the end of last year, we donated food parcels and sports equipment to communities in and around the Gauteng province," she said.
